Everybody is saying that this "memo" was weeks in the making... but I think it was made today... google is your friend.

or the decision, that is, trump wanted a good 'moment' to announce his decision to remove FBI Director whose department is onto him/trump? After Sally Yates provided the moment.

Rosenstein's letter might not expressly mention firing Chimney for one reason. Rachel Meadow mentioned on her 5/9 show that Comey's internal investigation into his handling of the Clinton emails and breaking DOJ policy HASN'T completed yet. Since Rosenstein is career DOJ, he would likely know & follow those rules.

Meanwhile, the Keebler elf couldn't help himself.
