(4,253 posts)Such a pleasure to hear him speaking so intelligently and compassionately. No " I am the greatest" but every citizen is the greatest.
Trump must be fuming.

(24,736 posts)My president. Wonderful speech. Wonderful telling of a story. A call to courage. So much more presidential than the orange asshole.

(81,322 posts)There go the ol' waterworks again.
That was a MAGNIFICENT speech. How he wove all those themes in and out - of the Kennedy family legacy, all the profiles in courage of the grand and the everyday.
And the grace, and the elegance, and the class, it was all there, back again. And Michelle, Gracious-Sakes. You could hold your head high when President Obama was in charge.
He represents the best of America. I'm glad he's still young enough to be around for AWHILE.
This - uh - whatever who we have now ... And his most noteworthy speech, that carries the title "American Carnage." This one now just does not compare. Just does NOT compare.

(16,863 posts)Congratulations to him on this well earned award. He was my Commander in Chief when I went to Afghanistan...he will always be a man that I look up to and admire, for his strength, his compassion, and his endurance in the face of constant opposition and derision.

(20,219 posts)Such an outstanding human being.
I truly don't understand the people who sabotage and/or vent their ugliness at him. What is wrong with someone that makes them unable to see the Light in a person like President Obama?

(901 posts)The GOP doesn't represent anything that makes America great. Their only aim seems to be giving tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires. They surely don't care about immigrants, minorities, the poor, the middle class, the environment, college debt, affordable access to health care, our reputation (as they dutifully enable tRump who is an absolute embarrassment)...

(3,112 posts)But please... some context?
More and more OPs are like this.... a big declarative subject heading.... followed by no text. And, with no "n/t" giving us a heads up.
I love Obama too, think he was a fantastic president and remains and even better person. But the click bait nature of these kinds of subject headings is very frustrating.
Thank you for listening.

(34,403 posts)I miss President Obama so very much. We've gone from the sublime to the dangerous, treasonous, and ridiculous in a little over 100 days. My heart breaks every day for us.
