(9,897 posts)THAT is a leader I will follow, I will fight for, I will bleed with...
THAT is a man and a philosophy that I can stand with, stand for, stand beside...
THAT is what I saw in Barrack Obama when he was considered a wild card with little to no chance...
THAT is what America needs now more than ever.
LET'S GO JOE !!!

(24,259 posts)Now that I did a quick read up on him I remember hearing about him a few years ago and I can see why he'd be a good choice as president if he decides to run.
Admittedly being from the northeast I'm normally more up on politicians that are closer to where I live but I'm always happy to learn about and open to voting for good Democrats from any state.

(24,259 posts)and knowing his stances on most issues that are important to me, I could easily see myself voting for him as president someday.
You know he was speaking from the heart in this impassioned speech. It's to bad he was speaking mostly to a bunch of heartless RepubliCONs.

Joe Kennedy has the brains, common sense and warmth to make it happen.

(80,708 posts)Maybe if the MA legislature gets out of the way of the will of the voters there, he will be able to see legalization working successfully and update his stance as Senator Warren has.
Until then, though, that shit isnt gonna fly west of the rockies.

(81,509 posts)Heard him talk about the cruelty at the heart of the Anti-Health-Care-Act. Heard him talk about compassion and how the Affordable Care Act - the whole idea of affordable health care - that, yes - we ALL chip in to help underwrite just because it's the right and moral thing for a society to do and it's who we are (and who we SAY we are). I love how he put it: "this is how we take care of one another."
BANISH heartless America. Let's rediscover her heart.
Here's our next generation. Leaders like him can help restore the America we always loved, learned about, and believed in.

I hope that we hear not only from him, but from a few dozen people LIKE him. I'd love to have a deep roster of new candidates for Congress, Governorships, and for the White House in 2020.
Compare Kennedy's speech to "Nobody dies from lack of access to health care." It is way past time for some visible, eloquent versions of this young man to be speaking up and for their words to be spread around, because there sure is enough crap coming from the other side.
