Those who support policies and candidates so opposite of the principles that could make this country truly great waive the flag and declare their patriotism but are blind to the principles of democracy, liberty, fundamental rights and equality that true patriots like Jefferson envisioned. I hesitate to display my patriotism for fear that I might be perceived to be in agreement with the anti-American policies espoused by the faux patriots.

(2,307 posts)If there were any day of the year when Americans could put off politics and be united you would think it would be today. But, NO. They are tramping around with tea bags hanging from straw hat and misspelled signs taking freedoms back they haven't lost but rather are wanting to restrict from others.
I was thinking last night, I remember when wearing colonial uniforms was to reenact event from our beginning. Now it is a bunch of nut jobs acting like lunatics.
