It's happening again... MSNBC is drifting to the right the same way that CNN did.

After seeing many post referring to MSNBC's movement to the right, I have to admit that it is ever more apparent now. When Morning Joe was new and in it's first two years remained a middle of the road program, obviously those days are long gone.

We have seen liberal commentators flee and banned. Journalist canceled.

The Daily Rundown was largely middle of the road as well, however with the departure of Guthrie, the show is now nothing more than a mouth piece for Wall St.

Ratigan, while a bit too libertarian for me was at least tolerable, now we have SE Cupp? Really?

I should avoid getting started with Michael Steele....Ugh

Even the content has changed. For 3 days we have been watching the "Romney Olympics", the GOP love story of Mia Love (which being promoted by MSNBC will hurt her DEMOCRATIC opponent, considering what the Utah GOP did to the states redistricting).

Current is a long ways from competing with MSNBC, let's hope they are up to the task in the near future, they are in the Minor's at best....

The large majority of it has ALWAYS been right wing. They got a few liberal commentators at night - which is more than most stations have - and that gave everybody the idea that they were liberal.

Getting out our message has always been difficult. People want to live liberal - they just don't want to hear about it.

Thom Hartmann's programs are broadcast by them as well Amy Goodman's Democracy Now, along with lots of other liberal-oriented shows and appearances by people like Noam Chomsky and Laura Flanders. It's at 348 if you have Direct TV, channel 9415 if you have Dish Network. Listener-supported and commercial free, they're better than Current in my opinion. In fact, there's no one on the air anywhere better than Amy Goodman and Thom Hartmann, with the exception of Rachel Maddow.

One must wonder what fetishist executive at MSNBC had his psyche permanently twisted by college porn ... the same porn archetype as that presented by the former mayor of Wasilla: librarian seductress. She's vacuous and simple-minded, having apparently invested more in time before a mirror than behind a book. All my alarm bells go off: "daddy issues." Her mannerisms are, more than anything else those of an over-indulged 6-year-old, prancing for daddy in a costume reminiscent of Jon Benet. Creepy as hell.

I am a scholar and a political scientist. I've discovered that fascists don't believe in "free speech!

What I want to say before I leave is that death panels are real. I am referring to the Republican political machinery that will block attempts to implement Obama's healthcare law in some states - many of them southern. This will adversely impact the poor and elderly of those states in the worst way. The lack of action will effectively create Republican-controlled death panels.

I'm outta here for bluer pastures where free speech isn't stifled by a few morons.

Any news source closely connected to major corporate money is suspect. I hope Current gets a stronger toehold. They are unabashedly progressive, but struggling to get exposure on cable systems.

After Katrina and the first wave of bad economic news, then the growing certainty that BushInc lied us into war, the NBCs tried to dampen their obvious cheerleading for Bush and post 2006 brought in some lefties for their evening programming - kept the rest of the day pretty solid center-right, though. Sure, they're pretty conservative in the morning (Morning Joe, Chris Jansing, Andrea Mitchell, Chuck Todd), but I don't see The Cycle (Tore, Krystal Ball, Stephen Kornacki, S.E. Cupp) as right or left. They're basically the balanced center to me.

Martin Bashir, Hardball, Al Sharpton's Politics Nation, Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O'Donnell are all in primetime, and they do excellent journalistic work, rather than liberal news. If I wanted liberal news, I'd tune in to CurrentTV which is a bit too liberal for my taste since I consider myself a Progressive rather than a Liberal.

And notice the other NBC stations...they are leaning left, look at USA and SyFy. All the NBC - GE stations seem to lean left. Yes, there are more conservatives on MSNBC since Comcast, but they are still out numbered and aren't the crazies. Cupp comes close, but she's been pretty muted and Kristal Bell, doesn't hold back to correct her or tell her when her sources are shit (like Daily Caller).
