All these desperately ill persons with pre existing conditions who support trump

And know trump is ficking them over, are giving their lives for the good of the country. It's their patriotic duty.

They are also thinning the herd of the stupid.

Too bad so many people who didn't want to give their lives for trump will also end up doing so.

Damn this country is filled with a bunch of nutty idiots.

He said he was going to give them something better. They were too stupid or ill informed to realize he didn't have a hope in hell of actually doing that. They are still convinced he is going to make it all better. They are in for a rude awakening.

remember that many of the white working class Reagan voters were union people, who voted for the ultimate union buster Ronnie Raygun, on the basis of "doing what's best for the country"... so yes you are correct that they think of themselves as patriots or whatever, also nationalists and nativists who don't mind suffering if they think Trump's policies will damage 'the other' more.

It doesn't matter what he says because that's not law, it's only hot air.
They love the hot air.

If his proposals actually become law and start to affect people then they might start rethinking things but as long as he continues to fail they will remain diehard fans.
