(3,266 posts)purely a rhetorical device meant to demonstrate that trump was going to be tough on the southern border, and that even most trump voters didn't really believe he was going to actually build a wall...I could not disagree more. Most of the trump voters I've run across want a real and actual wall, and TOTALLY believed he'd build it! I think they're giving trump voters too muc credit. They lack the imagination required to understand rhetoric or metaphor. They understood he'd build a wall, and that's what they're expecting.
