The numbers marching in New York City are estimated by the NYPD to be 20,000. There were 20,000 more marching through Philadelphia today. Another 10,000 gathered in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Reuters reports at least 15,000 gathered on the Mall in Washington, D.C., and that doesnt count the numbers who marched.
.............. organizers estimated a crowd of 50,000, which does not appear far off the mark as you can see from this photo from LA:
