We must stand up for Abortion rights...this is not a wedge issue but a civil rights issue.

(68,582 posts)I get that in some states, we will have pro-life candidates...I put up with it in Ohio with Tim Ryan who has evolved on this issue thankfully. But I will not vote for a pro-life candidate in a primary ever. Womens rights are civil rights...make no mistake...we will not be thrown under the bus to get some mythical Trump voter's votes.

When access to abortions is restricted, they happen anyway. The wealthy can afford to find a safe access to the procedure, but the less than wealthy must go to what we called "back-alley" abortionists. How is this fair?
I'll save my rant about the term "pro-life" for another thread.
