There was a bomb-attack in Germany. It wasn't ISIS after all. It was a greedy asshole.

http://www.spiegel.de/panorama/justiz/borussia-dortmund-ermittler-fassen-mutmasslichen-bvb-bomber-a-1143998.html
(article in german)

There was a bomb-attack on the bus of the soccer-team BVB Dortmund. People got hurt, but by pure luck nobody was killed.

A letter from ISIS was found, claiming they did it. The letter was fake.

The bomb-attack was perpetrated by a guy who wanted to kill players of the BVB Dortmund to crash the value of the club's stocks.
He checked in at the very same hotel as the team.
He took out a massive loan at a bank and then bought Put-options via internet... via the the hotel's internet-connection.
It was this purchase that got him caught, because the bank initially suspected him of money-laundering, and then the cops traced him back to the hotel...

The investigation also washed up a former ISIS-member, who was arrested on charges related to his time in Iraq, not the bomb-attack.

----------

The perpetrator holds german and russian dual citizenship. So I looked up how RT is reporting on this. The article is accurate, but the comment-section complains how the media dare to mention that he's Russian! They are only mentioning this to badmouth all Russians!

I didn't see any reporting that he was blaming it on Muslims, but Faux Newz and the other conclusion-jumpers would have gone there regardless of the facts.

A Flori
da man has been charged with plotting to plant bombs in at least 10 Target Corp stores and then profit when the blasts caused the company's stock price to fall, federal prosecutors have said.

Charles Barnett, 48, of Ocala, had asked a law enforcement informant to put the homemade bombs on the shelves of Target stores from Florida to New York state, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida said in a statement on Thursday.

"Barnett theorized that the company’s stock value would plunge after the explosions, allowing him to cheaply acquire shares of Target stock before an eventual rebound in prices," the statement said.

A criminal complaint said the bombs were disguised in packages for pasta, stuffing mix and breakfast bars and delivered to the informant on Feb. 9. Barnett also gave the informant gloves, a mask and a license plate cover to conceal his identity from police.

The informant, a convicted burglar on probation, turned the bombs in to authorities on Monday, the complaint said. A search of Barnett's house by federal agents turned up bomb parts.

Because i thought "well, BVB Dortmund is on the stock market, so maybe it was market manipulation".

I don't understand how you can actually risk the lives of many people just to earn less than 1,000,000€ through options trading. Sick.

On the bright side, they survived. And ISIS was not involved. Right-wing extremist nazis from the AfD party were rooting for another ISIS attack on Germany to blame Merkel and tell everybody that Merkel destroyed Europe and the only fix is to vote AfD. (It's interesting that a German/Russian guy did this. The AfD campaigns in Russian language because many Russian-speaking Germans apparently now favor AfD over CDU.)

"Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel zeigte sich wieder einmal "entsetzt". Doch haben wir es vor allem ihrer Asylpolitik zu verdanken, dass vom Fußball bis zum Weihnachtsmarkt kein Bereich unseres Lebens mehr sicher ist."

=> Merkel "shocked" again. But from soccer to christmas markets, nothing in our lives is safe any longer, thanks mostly to her refugee policies.

I don't know, I still feel very safe. I'm afraid of Putin's buddys in the AfD and their constant fear-mongering though...
