Absolutely, Positively Not: Chaffetz Says Hes Not Leaving Congress Due to an Impending Scandal

First, he announced he would not seek another term in Congress. Then, he said he might leave early.

So what’s the deal, Jason Chaffetz? Is there a scandal coming down the pike that we don’t know about?

“Absolutely, positively not,” Chaffetz told Politicoon Thursday. “Not in any way, shape, or form.”

He added, “If they had something really scandalous, it would’ve come out a long, long time ago.”

So why, then, is the Utah Congressman and House Oversight Committee Chairman contemplating an early exit from office? His comments to Politico don’t exactly shed much light on the matter.

With not much specifics, they actually talked about him having ambition for some other job, like governor of Utah.
I'll wait for the FBI to decide, cause it is now an open secret he is being investigated.

That is not the statement an innocent person would make. It comes out as meaning that he knows there is stuff out there on him, but he thinks (or hope) they have not gotten to the real juicy one yet.
