When some unknown person announces "Breaking News" on Twitter, do you give it as much credibility as "Breaking News" from TV Networks or from NY Times or Washington Post or some other credible source?
Personally, I need more than a Tweet.

There's nothing inherently credible or not-credible about the medium of twitter. It's a means of communication, period.
Now, an "unknown person" on twitter- no, not a lot of credibility.

(4,451 posts)many of them are fact filled with intense detail. I follow credible journalist and former Intel/CIA for good Russia stories.

(19,962 posts)it is, BUT it doesn't have much effect until MSM pick it up. That's the sad reality. Her tweet about Shitface/Chaffetz followed by his puling out of 2018 should be front page news but isn't. That concerns me.

(1,907 posts)I do sometimes hope it's true. Really for me until it hits as actual confirmed news it's not real. But probably should pull back from that. How much has been released as news but got pulled back or still shows as conjuncture.

Treasure them. They will tell our story to future inhabitants of the interwebs.
