I'm sorry, I can't get too excited about Bill O'Reilly being fired.

He will just be replaced by another sociopath making big bucks by appealing to the worst in peoples nature. There is a segment of our society than has been conditioned to view our society in terms of groups of people opposed to one another, blaming our nations problems on the other groups of people. At least this should lead to an atmosphere that it less abusive towards women at Fox News.

Much of his behavior was sad and boorish but his fetishization of his African American co-worker was deplorable:

Ms. Bloom said the woman, who is African-American, worked in a clerical position at the network but did not work directly for Mr. O’Reilly. The woman reported that in 2008, Mr. O’Reilly would stop by her desk and grunt like a “wild boar”; he would also stand back to allow her to exit the elevator first and then say, “Looking good, girl,” Ms. Bloom said. Mr. O’Reilly leered at the woman’s cleavage and legs and called her “hot chocolate,” Ms. Bloom said.

Never read the comments.

But if you read the comments to the stories on this, a lot of folks are saying they'll never watch Fox again. I don't know how believable that is (I suspect it's just in-the-moment whining), but I think some of those folks may actually swear off Fox. I don't know where they'll go for their two-minute-hate fix, but there's a lot of choices out there.

not know what comments of which you speak. I gave my opinion based on years of experience and knowledge of old fart white bigots. I've known a few.

Of the commenters on MSN.com, some of them claim they'll never watch Fox again because Billo got forced out. I can't say that all of them are legitimate or truthful, but some of them probably are. That's who I was talking about.

thingy, but I still didn't read the comments. I would not base an opinion on other people's comments - ever - anywhere.

Tuck is not going to pull the same numbers, though ratings may take a while to fall off.
