Morning Joe said: Trump could & should speak w/Obama about N Korea, but....

Joe on Morning Joe said that Trump could and should speak with Obama about N Korea, but Trump has burned his bridges with the former President with one Tweet.

I hadn't thought of that, but it's true. Presidents sometimes benefit from chats with former Presidents about different matters, particularly foreign policy, but Trump has lost that ability to gain from the prior experience and the history of issues by burning his bridges. The Bushes can't stand him (altho they put on a good face publicly). Trump has accused Obama personally of illegally wiretapping him. And I doubt Bill Clinton would jump to help Trump out (if he's not too far removed from the current issues). However, there is Jimmy Carter, who has publicly stated that he would help Trump, if called upon. Somehow I doubt the Republicans would relish Trump seeking assistance from Carter, who has been one of the most criticized Presidents by the Republicans.

And Trumpers thought Trump was smart and a good businessman. A good businessman doesn't burn bridges, because you never know when you'll need to do business with them again.

no wonder he was never invited to many of the NYC in-crowd parties. He was considered a bore and left off the invite lists. Seeing him in action as president, one can certainly see why.

That goes for Scarborough and Trump. President Obama is not going to have anything to do with Trump nor should he. It's not as if Trump would listen anyway.

No upside in advising Trump. Just another opportunity for Trump to find someone else to blame.

In fact Obama should lead with my lawyers need to talk to your lawyers about a libel settlement that I can contribute to charity.

12. That's what I think, too. I don't think Bush would help him, either. There's no upside.

They would just be blamed for whatever would go wrong (and something WOULD go wrong).

he's a Republican. But he's pretty fair for a Republican. He has been a primary source of getting out the news about Trump....about the lies, Kellyanne Conway, the narcissism, the newbie team, the chaos, the historically low approval numbers, etc.

14. He SHOULD speak with Bill Richardson.

Richardson has experience successfully dealing with North Korea. I believe he would help, given the potential dire consequences, as would Obama and Clinton. But, Donny Doll Hands and his minions are imbeciles.

on others. And he doesn't necessarily take advice.

All they could do is give him a history lesson, and people in Congress can do that.

People like Richardson would be good when it comes time to bail him out, however. And, unfortunately, I suspect that they will likely be needed--if we aren't all blown up first.

if Trump's bridge to the previous administration has indeed been burned, there's a whole lot more than any one Tweet that did it.
