A Republican Townhall Just Exploded As Voters Demand Trump’s Arrest

By Colin Taylor
Published on April 17, 2017

It would appear the tides are turning against President Trump and his ship of fools. During a town hall meeting held by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Rep. French Hill (R-AR) in deep-red Little Rock, Arkansas, the crowd erupted in cries of “LOCK HIM UP!” when Cotton dared to compliment Trump’s foreign policy.

The displays of fruitless aggression and primitive manhood-waving that summarize President Trump’s foreign policy have accomplished nothing but to kill more than a thousand innocent civilians in a month of bombings and to bring us to the brink of nuclear war with North Korea.

The irony of seeing voters yell for Trump’s arrest barely two months into his presidency is simply delicious. Trump campaign advisor Gen. Michael Flynn began the “LOCK HER UP” chant at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland last summer. Now it’s Michael Flynn who is desperately trying to avoid jail while voters scream for Trump’s imprisonment.

Life comes at you fast, as they say.

As the investigation into President Trump and his team’s potentially treasonous collusion with agents of the Russian Federation during the 2016 election gains steam, it’s looking likelier than ever that these Arkansas voters might soon get their wish.

People need to wake the eff up and start looking at their own self interests before walking into the voting booth. I'm glad these people are pissed off, but it's their fault we are in this mess. If they had paid attention to what is going on in the world rather than to what is going on on that little screen they hold in their hands playing Candy Crush, they might have been smart enough not to vote the way they did.

that the people who showed up to voice their outrage like this were probably like us - people who wanted no part of the asshole in the first place.

THAT said, I agree with you point - 1/3 of the country braindead R pods voting for him out of blind party loyalty and 1/3 of the country not bothering to show up to vote.

If town hall attendees in Little Rock can erupt in such sentiment, I can only imagine how a deep blue city like San Francisco would react.

I hope this type of townhall "eruption" occurs down in the southern part of CA, in places like Orange County and San Diego, where there ARE Congressional Republicans representing the voters there.

Of course, cowards like Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) will just not schedule any such town hall meetings.

The city of Little Rock, AR isn't "deep red" or red at all. Pulaski County (that includes Little Rock) voted for Hillary and is a blue county.

http://www.nytimes.com/elections/results/arkansas

But it is good to see folks wake up out of their slumber! Just have to translate that into some votes and put a (D) into that Congressional district that encompasses that county. I know they torpedoed Cotton before.

join in the lock-him-up chants. Little Rock didn't need to be converted to this view by witnessing Trump's flops and flips and demonstrations of horrible incompetence and putrid callousness in office. The campaign was enough, just as it was for other bright blue dots in red swaths, like New Orleans, Nashville, Raleigh, take your urban pick ...

but I doubt we could ever get any sort of consensus on what it would be and what traits should be measured and what are acceptable scores in those areas.

Mrs. Lib just asked me about this today.

My answer was that the primary system with its evaluation by a large number should weed out the extremes and the unfit. Obviously not true.

So beyond that I have no idea what would be measured and acceptable. Plus would a con like Donny be able to fake his way through such an exam?

Plus, isn't the media supposed to be exposing weaknesses of candidates, really digging down? Obviously it was little but a love fest between Donny and the corporate media last 2 years.
