coming from the northeast. Not sure what, but Vandenberg is not in that direction, and that's usually where we see the missile tests.
It's probably nothing serious, but w/ that fucking Trump you never know.

(62,444 posts)They don't care where you happen to be standing when they hit the atmosphere.
First time I saw Orion "upside down" in the Southern Hemisphere, it freaked me right out.

(11,856 posts)it looked like a plane climbing at mach speed. The contrails were at least 200 miles by the time it went over the horizon.
I think this was a missile....probably testing, but....Trump

(25,341 posts)It was a cool place. There is this huge "missile buffer" which was my own nature preserve. It was just awesome. Right in my back yard. I would hike for miles. The beaches were cool also. No swimming due to under current. The water was cold, unlike Santa Barbara. Fog every day. Sea caves. Just an awesome place to be a kid.

(3,827 posts)It was the lowest meteor I have ever seen in my life- At first I thought it was a low-flying plane, but I watched it turn a greenish blue and disintegrated before it hit the ground.
