and hips. Your balance has to be adjusted when wearing that crap. I bet she is getting close to having difficulties trying to keep that up. I used to get cramps in my calves after wearing heels for 3-4 hours (an evening out) in my thirties.

All that being said, I'm glad I was home for Easter vs there. Those stupid chairs look ridiculously uncomfortable.

Heels like that make your legs look longer and slightly thinner, but they force the wearer to walk in ways humans didn't evolve to do. It puts stress on one's calves, and can contribute or aggravate plantar fascitis.

And it's a half-measure anyway - if Melania's going for height, why not go all the way and wear ballet toe-shoes

And that get-up... white dress, gold belt, plastic tangerine shoes? Blech. It could *maybe* have been saved with a floral fabric belt, hell, even polka dots. And cute espadrilles. What a mess.

that she would like her shoes (as in imprints of her shoes) to match her husbands face. Can't say that I would feel any differently, given the circumstances. Also, I think this picture could be quite prominent in a future Stephen King horror movie. It definitely gives me the creeps.[link:|

If orange played an important role in seventeenth century European history, it also played an important role in more recent American history as well. The Bell X-1, the first airplane to break the sound barrier, was painted international orange so as to be more visible against the blue of the sky. Space Shuttle astronauts used to wear international orange pressure suits during take-off and landing so as to be more visible in the event they had to abandon their spacecraft.

International orange can be seen throughout the built landscape as well. The color is closely associated with the aerospace industry <emphasis added> and so you often see it near airports or tall structures that pose a danger to low-flying aircraft. The Tokyo Tower, for example is painted in alternating bands of white and international orange.
