Facebook says I posted this 3 years ago.

It seems really on the nose now with the small handed, delusional psycho and his band of idiots that are in charge of the country.

I know there's not a lot to laugh about, but if I don't laugh at some things, I'm liable to run screaming into the night.

and the creation of DHS, that never existed before. The GOP used to ridicule HHS as being (one of the) largest (civilian) departments but it is now dwarfed by DHS.

But it's the Dems that always "run up" the debt.(or at least get blamed for it when they try to fix what the repugs have screwed up.)

The TSA was new but the rest was just moving things from one department to another with no real increases. The military spending and the wars on the other hand.

who used to work with CBP & USDA staff who got moved into DHS, the TSA was the new entity that should have been under DOT but was instead thrown under DHS and expanded enormously (including taking over the security contractors in most airports). And CBP & ICE were expanded as part of that when they were moved under DHS.

There was no need, given the existence of DOJ & Treasury (which CBP was under) & DOT, to create yet another "bureaucracy".

The military spending was actually put on the books and decreased under Obama, but DHS just gets bigger and bigger. HHS used to have upwards of 100,000 employees and is down to about 80,000.
