MikeFarb's Voting Machine Mega Thread - most important issue in order to take things back in 2018

I am not going to discuss Hacking
I am not going to put links in
They will all be part of a more technical breakdown I am compiling.

Voting Machines in our Country were redone under
the Bush Administration
Contracts went out to many companies all with Ties
to the GOP

There were No Specs or Standards required when they built these Machines
Many were tested for functionality but few were tested for Security

Diebold makers of some of themes unreliable Machines can be opened with a generic office file cabinet key!!

Many people have been writing me saying we need paper ballots.
Yes we do. But that does not eliminate the problem.

Paper Ballots are usually read with optical Scanners
They are a disaster and will be discussed in my Technical breakdown

Not only are there no standards with the Machines the States have no voting standards

In Michigan in 392 out of 662 precincts the number of votes did not match the number of voters.

Under Michigan law if these numbers don't match the entire vote from these precincts is not included in a recount. Think about that!

2. Important enough that he needs to write it out, post link, not do a stupid twitter thread.

Thanks for gathering it LCoyote, but Farb should know that twitter threads are a dumb way to communicate weighty stuff.

It is direct, straight to every one of your followers, interactive too, searchable, retweetable, and easy to post in forums that no longer swell in the Stone Age. Try to catch up.

5. Twitter threads are poor: low info content, cryptic, limited in scope, disjointed, barely coherent.

Twitter is great for connecting with followers, being interactive, retweetable. Not so good for long thoughtful detailed analytical pieces. Twitter essayists need to write it out, post the link and a few pithy excerpts to get followers excited.

Anyway, the promised "Technical Breakdown" never showed up or I didn't see it because it was lost in a tangle of replies and counter-replies.

Catch up? I've been running my own web sites for 22 years and using email since 1979. Right now I'm programming a mobile app.

8. Agree. I find twitter threads hard to follow; would much rather have links and "a few

9. Twitter time stamps are links to the tweet.

Makes it easy to post a tweet here, just right-click the time stamp and copy.

In Twitter, if you click a time stamp the tweet opens so you can read the interactions and the URL appears in the address bar. Handy programming. Just lick the background to go back.
