***BREAKING*** Former MI6 chief Richard Dearlove says Donald Trump borrowed money from Russia

Former MI6 chief Richard Dearlove says Donald Trump borrowed money from Russia during 2008 financial crisis

Days before taking office, Mr Trump said Russia had never had any 'levarage' over him

...

“Trump’s relationship with Russia goes back many, many years. I’m sure the FBI was monitoring it,” he said.

Two parallel investigations into alleged ties between Trump associates and Russia during the 2016 presidential election as well as Russia’s alleged tampering with the election are being conducted in Congress at the moment.

Democrat Senator Mark Warner, Vice Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee said the tactics used by the Kremlin “send a chill down anyone who believes in the democratic process“.

If the FBI and or other US intelligence agencies did know about any financial burden Mr Trump had with Russian lenders, it will raise further questions over why the information was not released earlier, especially given the FBI's approach to Mr Trump's opposition candidate Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election

with Hillary just days before election day, then the info about MI6 informing the FBI of the many conversations between Russia and the Con's campaign. Now it looks like this goes back a lot more years than this past campaign.

I understand Obama's hesitation to get involved in the campaign, making it all look too political, but I don't understand the FBI. Isn't it part of their job to prevent the American people from electing a fraud?

Comey knew that the Trump saga was going to take a whole lot of investigating before bringing it to a conclusion (perhaps a year or more) while he thought that perhaps he could wrap up Hillary's case a lot quicker and put that one to bed and Trump's was going to involved a lot more time. Even now, they are saying that it could be close to a year before Trump's case could come to fruition.

Hey perhaps he thought (like the rest of us), she's leading in all the polls, won all the debates, had a flawless Presidential Convention, and her opponent's campaign consists solely of a handful of rank and file amateurs, and people who know nothing about running a presidential campaign, or governing and his entire campaign is amateur hour.

"other US intelligence agencies".

Was a Republican who first ordered that dossier on trumps Russian financial adventures in 2015. Republicans never turned over that dossier of information to any authorities.

From further in the article, discussing Comey's Clinton email debacle just prior to the election:

Mr Amsterdam said one possible explanation is “that the FBI has an informer who was once part of the Trump organisation” and that information was not released in order to protect that source.

“In my view…[the FBI] had no obligation” to share the Trump investigation but “the same rules should apply to Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump,” he said.

That is a pretty strong allegation couched in some non-committal words. I wonder what else he knows that his old cronies in MI-6 have told him!

At heart, the Russia thing comes down to pure venality. Any treachery is purely accidental and only in service to making money. Which I think is actually worse than treason due to some kind of ideology, because it never stops.

Also why no business-person should ever hold elective office without selling EVERYTHING and subject themselves to a complete forensic audit and tax review. Because in the end, Trump is only President so he can make money. Nothing he has ever done has been for any other reason. Capitalism is antithetical to patriotism in any sense of the word.
