We are the only NATO signatory to have invoked its mutual defense article

Just us. Nobody else. After 9/11, we requested mutual defense from our allies, and our allies showed up. Canada, UK, Belgium, France: they all provided air support for our air defense operations over US cities.

Fuck Donald Trump and his "change of heart". NATO is the damned bedrock of American security.

No matter how much we spend on defense we will always need help. We always have and we always will. We would not even BE a Country without the help the French gave us. In the REAL world politicians know this. Now..... we just need a "leader" who understands this. Its just downright embarrassing to think of what we, as a Nation, look like to the rest of the world these days.
