(17,006 posts)I seem to recall reading that several FISA warrants were issued last summer to surveil team Trump. We know Carter Page got one. Maybe Manafort wasn't sure if there really were FISA warrants and now, knowing there was at least one, is trying to retroactively cover his ass.

(19,565 posts)I suspect there's a very real state of fear for all connected to Manafort. It appears Manafort is in a position for RICO Act charges if what the AP reported is correct.
As always, follow the money and you'll find those involved.
