Mitch McConnell, Bernie Sanders top America's least and most popular senators lists
https://www.aol.com/article/news/2017/04/11/mitch-mcconnell-bernie-sanders-americas-least-most-popular-senators/22035570/
America's political landscape has gone through dramatic changes since September 2016, however, some opinions remain the same -- Senate Majority Leady Mitch McConnell remains the least popular member of the U.S. Senate, while Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders remains the most popular.
According to a new poll by the Morning Consultant, 47 percent of Kentucky residents disapprove of their senator, while 44 percent approve.
Although he is the least popular senator, McConnell's ratings appear to be moving in a positive direction. A similar poll conducted in September found 51 percent of those polled disapproved of McConnell and just 39 percent approved.

(57,349 posts)Bernie has been the most popular for two years now and according to HuffPo's pollster his favourability rating nationally is quite high as well.
Go Bernie - keep rising!
Go Mitch - keep sinking!

(57,349 posts)He's rising above the assholes on the right who want our progressive leaders to fail!
When they go low we go high!
So let's hear it for Bernie - still the most popular, still kicking ass and still pissing off all the right people.
(that would be those on the right who want our politicians to fail)
So YAY for our side! When our leaders do well it's a win for all of us.
And sad trombone for poor loser Mitch:

(67,782 posts)"Popular" to less than a half million people in the poll.
Who are the "right people" that he's pissing off? Was that something in the poll that I missed?

(67,782 posts)I might find this aol article a little more credible if they got the pollster's name correct - it's Morning CONSULT, not Morning "Consultant"!!!!
All that aside, did you notice that Sanders' rating has dropped 12% in the last six months? Also, did you see that his Senior Senator from Vermont, Patrick Leahy, is only 5% behind Sanders despite the fact that he hasn't been on a book tour or appeared every few days on network talk shows.

(34,111 posts)and my enthusiasm is not dampened by the constant "nuh uhhhh" that follows Bernie posts around like a hunting dog.
We can read! Really we can. We do not need everything explained through a filter we already disagree with. Just let it go, you all will feel so much better. We are not running him again, he is not running he is just working for all of us. Sheesh.

(34,111 posts)Quite right! I guess since there have been a scarcity of Hillary posts since the election it is likely hard to read these. I see she has made some noise, making a comeback in some way? Good for her. Maybe that will stop all of this. I did not read through the threads after the first few comments, saw one where there was a little contention but mostly from people who supported her wholeheartedly. I guess there is no getting over it *sigh*.
Love Frozen, I can see why every little girl has been so crazy over it. I watched it and it made me smile. Complete with head flip!

(57,349 posts)I applaud anyone who wants to get out there and take on our enemies. The more exposure they get the better.
Tom and Bernie have the right idea with their unity tour. That's what we need right now - progressives out there barnstorming red states and taking it to the people.

(34,111 posts)It has been pretty boring (not a comment on Obama, boring while in office is often a good thing ) but so NOT exciting. This is exactly what is needed. Nothing will make people get more interested than a good rally. It has been many years since I felt that the party was doing what was needed to capture those who pay no attention or shown that they even cared about them. I may even start to donate again instead of writing why I do not donate.

(1,097 posts)NOT GOOD!!!!!
From your linked article:
Sanders remains the most popular U.S. senator, but the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate's approval rating is down 12 points from September when his approval rating was 87 percent.
IF that keeps up, he'll be vulnerable for re-election. He needs to turn that shit around RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!!!!!

(14,689 posts)Get ready for Sen. Al Giordano in 2018. I can't see any Vermont Democrat ever supporting his re-election bid.
