The investigation about the alleged collusion can't be separated from questions about Trump's business deals because it's related to motives, for both Trump and Russia. The FBI investigation started last July and is unlikely to be affected in the least by the ineffective missile strikes, which, although it gave orgasms to certain folks in the media, is likely to be old news very soon as Trump loses interest, like he loses interest in everything else.

Malcolm Nance said what Comey is investigating is the size of a pyramid and what has been released is equal to someone just walking by.

He will start or blunder into a war somewhere (N. Korea or fill-in-the-blank). Then all bets are off. This regime would gleefully use a war as an excuse to "patriotically" suspend the Constitution, cancel elections and/or invoke martial law. Particularly if Bannon and Erik Prince are still on or behind the scenes. I understand the need for Congress and Comey (whom I do not trust) to be methodical and thorough. However we are dealing with an impulsive, thin-skinned, uninformed, out-of-his-league FoxNews devotee with an itchy trigger finger and a lot of cheap locker room swagger & machismo. The Syrian attack shows he's ready, willing and able.

the bombing is going to be exposed for the scam it was too - that whole thing is already unraveling and I'd bet money Putin was in on that whole thing too.

He's already be in the process of impeachment if the repubs weren't in charge.. it's gonna take longer but ultimately they will want to save their own jobs and do it. They're just as bad as Trump by enabling this crap.

I think every bit of it will end up being true, and I honestly think the dirt is already in the hands of the movers and shakers.

Right now he's safe because he provides a wonderful distraction from all the financial rape and pillage going on in Congress. Nobody is yelling as much about the removal of protections for workers, or the environment, or even financial oversight because they are all looking at the shitstain on the rug in the Oval Office. He's such a low rent inexperienced oaf that he fails to realize just how he's being played by these guys. The markets are hanging in there, and enough jobs (barely) are being created the public is remaining mostly placid. He's a tool.

I think he'll remain in office for as long as he's useful, and once he becomes inconvenient due to starting an expensive trade war, he'll be told we will impeach you, strip you of all your material goods, and convict your kids as well unless you step down. Step out of office right now and you and your kids can take your cash and vanish from public life. Raise your head, say anything in public or fuck up in any way, and we'll use what we have on you and your kids anyway. You need to go away and stay gone.

I've been wrong before, however...

There is already direct evidence of collusion available to the Senate and the House.

The real question is, will Republicans play politics in order to circumvent the findings and any action that would be necessitated.

The answer is, of course, yes. They will quash the investigation, leaving all of us (again) to question the verity of our system.

We take the high road and get accused of taking the low road.

They take the low road and get away with it every single time.

Not always proud to be an American. For the right, it's Party before country; party before honor. It makes me sick.

Then when we take back the White House and congress we'll refuse to charge him with the crimes he deserves because we want to 'unify the country', same as it was after Bush.

If you can cause the deaths of hundreds of thousands of civilians and thousands of American servicemen, then why would a rigged election make any difference? Politicians and the super rich are above the law as long as they keep their buddies on side, and I'll believe that until something happens to disprove it.

This is not Monica Lewinsky. This the infiltration and perversion of our very election process. A virtual hostile take-over of our government--albeit a takeover by forces that are not in any way grateful or beholden to their enablers. In this case the ones responsible for protecting us from such hostility are the same ones who perpetrated it and continue to benefit from it. They will be in no hurry to rectify the situation, no matter WHAT evidence comes to light.
