As being problematic to anybody else- that the most influential people in Trump's circle are not his actual foreign policy and military officials but rather his daughter and son-in-law? Why is this being normalized? What will they convince him to do next???

(5,557 posts)It changed the media lead story, was largely well received by both parties in congress, and was low risk. These two are also responsible for Trump dialing back and largely staying on message during the last month of the campaign.
They are dangerous because they can control Trump somewhat and are not idiots.

(82,849 posts)What happens when Jared or Ivanka give Big Daddy bad advice? I mean, worse than impotently firing missiles at a runway. What if Trump goes along with some hare-brained idea and it goes horribly, disastrously wrong? Is Trump going to fire his daughter or son-in-law? There are so many ways this is going to go wrong.

I think Ivanka just pulled this decision out of her ass--that's assuming that I really did believe that she had anything to do with what I believe is nothing moe than a Kabuki air strike between tRumputin and his puppet master/blackmailer putin.
It's so reassuring to know that Ivanka (Yeah, riiiiight), is running our foreign policy

(20 posts)Kim Jong-Un will request an audience with the television viewers of America.
With bated breath, the nation watches.
He opens his mouth, and says -
"Have you seen Ivanka's line? My wife thinks it's to die for."
My god, sometimes it appears as if the sole reason Ivanka is in her position is to promote her business, and yet, people think she'll somehow be able to reign in Putin's lapdog.

(203 posts)This need to find blame in women, for mistakes of men needs to stop.
Donald Trump doesn't listen to anyone. He always acts on his own, facts and wisdom be damned.
Twisting tweets by his daughter, into policy advising, is absurd and frankly sexist.
The Syrian bombing was a desperate act by Donald Trump, in an attempt to redeem his popularity.
He failed, spectacularly.
That is on him, not his daughter.

Sorry, but I'm not interested in fighting his offspring, when he is the one who holds all the power. My fight is with him, and Bannon.

you came on here just to defend her . hahahah.
WomenRising2017
(203 posts)I'm not defending her, per se, but I'm tired of misogyny towards all women. And that's what I'm seeing here.
So much ire, directed at Ivanka, but not as much towards Bannon, Sessions, Tillerson, and more importantly, Donald Trump.
Why is she the target, when it's the above mentioned men doing all of the damage?
