Just like his dramatic Tomahawk strikes on the Syrian airfield that was designed and executed to inflict minimal damage, this deployment is more kabuki and drama.

It's far more designed to communicate internally with Americans than to send a message to North Korea.

Distraction is goal #1.

That he cares if his action incites violence on an unthinkable scale only in terms of his own poll numbers makes him unfit to serve.

He has just seen Trump bomb Syria.
He has heard the threats from Trump and others.
He may launch some kind of attack to save North Korea(in his mind)
He doesn't care if this was already planned. Why would he believe us?
