I think the Congress should bring up impeachment at this time.

In all seriousness, anyone in the House can bring up impeachment for a vote, it is my understanding.

But, the Syrian missile attack has to be the last straw. He informed the Russians of the planned attack but he didn't tell the Americans. The Congress was not informed. WTH!

Just like his audits are always out there and prevent him from showing his tax returns, so should the articles of impeachment be always out there, also. It's time to start the process.

The Congress should be prepared. It isn't about Party at all. It is about saving our country from a leader that, at this moment, has ships on the way to North Korea? He just pissed off the Chinese government by carrying out the Syrian bombing mission as he was hosting the Chinese Leader. Some of the Chinese people thought it made him (Xi) look weak.

Nobody knows what Putin might do? He has brought battleships of some sort into the Mediterranean Sea. Nobody wants war. Really, they don't. Even if they act like they do, they don't.

It is important that Congress think ahead of this dilemma. Even if the impeachment vote were to fail, it would still be out there, to be raised again at a moment's notice.

Conspiracy against our government. To not inform Congress before attacking another sovereign country, any sovereign country, is illegal and cannot be forgiven. It is time to impeach.

Like, for a while I was wondering if the GOP were half being sore losers towards the dems for 8 years of Obama and letting liberals have a taste of extremist conservatism. But then I snapped out of it and realized, no. No, this is way beyond revenge. This is everything Bannon wanted. Congress and the White House are in ruins. Trump has managed to obliterate public perception of the government, trust in said government, trust of allies, trust of politicians and parties. He has turned his own people against each other and normalized hate crimes and discrimination. Now he's actng unilaterally with weapons. And if he's not, then the people who are helping to orchestrate this are acting on inexperience and bad judgment.

You are so right. Bypassing Congress completely and reporting to Russia pretty much confirms that America is dead. Democracy is dead. The Constitution is dead. The GOP will never ever live this down. I just hope we're all alive long enough to never let them live it down.

I am keeping American troops in my thoughts. This is a shitty time to be a soldier, or have a loved one in the military. Trump's trigger finger and stupidity is no reason to lose your life. Loving thoughts to anyone affected.

Yes, any member of the House can present articles of impeachment in the form of a a "privileged resolution". But the House can, and undoubtedly will, vote to refer the resolution to the Judiciary Committee, where it will die.

That's what happened when Kucinich tried the privileged resolution approach in introducing articles of impeachment of Bush.

And its what will happen here. If for no other reason than that every impeachment resolution that has ever passed the full House has first been referred to and acted on by the Judiciary Committee.

Bringing up impeachment when the majority of Congress will just laugh at you is not a wise thing to do. Could become a kind of boy who cried wolf kind of thing.
