Former SNL cast member confirms what we all suspected about Trump in real life

Former Saturday Night Live cast member Taran Killam recently did an interview with Brooklyn Magazine to discuss his life after leaving the show last summer. The interview has some interesting gems from the actor known for his impressions of celebrities like Brad Pitt and Matthew McConaughey, but one of the juiciest tidbits from the piece is about our beloved wildly unpopular President Trump.

Killam was on staff when Trump was the host in 2015 and … he says dealing with the current president wasn’t the most pleasant. And no one really wanted to be there (including Trump). Killam shared:

It was not fun, and most of the cast and writers were not excited to have him there. I didn’t get the feeling that he was excited to be there, and it felt like a move for ratings from both sides. He was…everything you see.

And he confirms our worst fears about Trump in real life. What we see is what we’re getting: he doesn’t have a sense of humor and reading isn’t exactly his strong suit.

Good thing he doesn't have to read anything in his current job!

We're so unbelievably f#%ed!

he's a good reader, able to cruise through dense text, of course, or that he has the attention span for it to make a difference. I.e., he likely wouldn't read more even if he could handle complex materials easily, which seems very unlikely given his apparent 50-plus-year avoidance.

A president should be able to read a bill he's about to sign. If he's dyslexic he should have a reader so he can hear the bill. Trump apparently cannot be bothered to do either.

Insofar as teleprompters go, I'm not convinced he isn't using an earpiece; it would explain some of the oddness in behavior and timing. But even then, unless it is heavily impressed upon him that he cannot allow himself to screw up by winging it...he screws up by winging it. Or not - perhaps he's just a evil, disjointed-thinking mean person.

None of these possibilities bode well for a President of the United States.

wants family in meetings is that he can't stay focused for long and of course has trouble understanding due to profound ignorance. So he brings people he trusts to summarize what they think he needs to know. Of course, not putting them down, but none of them have the background for real understanding of most issues either.

It is obvious. While he can read the words on the page or prompter, his comprehension of the material is very poor. He may know the basic meaning of aeach of the words he reads, he doesn't know what the sentence means.
