I'm sick, physically sick, of people dying. People I don't know and will probably never meet -

even if they survive the days coming.

I'm sick and tired of governments slaughtering their own and the responses of others slaughtering more.

I'm sick and tired of people dying because of hate and ignorance. From power grabs and greed.

I'm sick and tired of people dying for no good cause. No real gain.

Even when the gain is positive, the deaths are no less tragic. No less sickening.

Daddy King preached at my childhood friend's funeral. He died young and full of life.

Mama King was already gone 6 years at this time.

That's what we, what everyone, in the neighborhood called them, so this is not disrespect.

That is who they were to us.

My encounters with their son were few and brief, but I marched with Coretta Scott King as a young adult.

Hope. Love. Unity. Peace. Understanding. Messages from a funeral for a young man long ago dead.

No more deaths. For the love of everything decent in people - no more deaths.

Not sure how much more my heart can take. As selfish as that is - the contents of my heart means nothing to those dying tonight and those who will die in the days to come. Not for those who died just a few days ago. My tears will not bring them back. Still I cry for them, for us.

It has to stop.

I wish I knew how to make it stop.

150,000 people die every day, and only about 100,000 of those from natural causes.
So 50,000 people die every day from tragic causes.
