YOU COULD NOT WRITE A BETTER OBAMA-AD:

MITT ROMNEY: "I am not concerned about the poor"
MITCH MCCONNELL: "The Uninsured are not a priority"

It's almost like they are trying to lose this thinng...or it's desperation. You wanna know my take? It's desperation...they had no plan, they fully expected the Supreme Court to strike it all down.

THEY DIDN'T HAVE A PLAN B

They are off balance, it's time to hit this hard. Keep them on the defensive.

This election is OVAH...no way are they going to recover from the above ad...Loop it and run it in all the states who are really hurting in this economy...wonder how it will play in PEORIA, baby!

Jeezus, man, what did you think the whole purpose of the ACA and other attempts at health care reform have been? It's because 33 million people can't get/can't afford fucking health insurance!!

I hope the DNC and all the liberal PACs grab that comment and run it in every damn one of their ads until November.

What an evil SOB.

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]You're right about the message we should be using, but we will still lose if Democrats don't vote in record numbers. The reTHUGs know they have nothing to offer The People, which is why they're working hard to reduce the number of registered Democratic voters and stack the deck in their favor.

You can bet your bottom dollar that come November, reTHUGs will again be using fear tactics and misinformation to keep Democrats from getting out to vote. There will also be a certain amount of election fraud going on in terms of voting machines, counting, etc. Be sure of it. The phrase "lie, cheat, and steal" is the ultimate description of reTHUGs.

We will win in November if and only if we work tirelessly to counter reTHUG voter suppression efforts. Complacency is not an option.

But I know plenty of Obama supporters who aren't politically inclined that take it for granted that Obama will win because Romney is so obviously a bad choice.

They don't keep up with the daily political news and aren't aware how virulently anti-Obama the large masses of deluded right have become.
Most of the people around them acknowledge Obama's accomplishments and so they assume the rest of the country does too.

There is a lot of racism going unrecognized in this country because too many people know the politically correct answer to give. There is no way they will answer some pollster with their true feelings. I know this because I used to work with folks like this and, sadly, have a few relatives who fall in this category. They despise Barack Obama primarily due to the color of his skin. Believe it or not, they are still struggling to cope with this turn of events even though it was nearly 4 years ago. But they don't come right out and say it.....except when it's safe, such as when they are with others whose feelings they already know. When we had a mixed crowd at the lunch table at work (mixed racially) the conversations were very different than when it was an all white crowd.

The election in November is not going to be a slam dunk for Obama, no matter what ridiculous things Mittens says or does between now and election day. I have watched family members (and former co-workers before I retired) and I think even if they have to hold their nose until until it bleeds, they will vote for Romney----just to get rid of that N-word in the White House. They will vote AGAINST their own best interest in order to do this. And all the shills for Romney just keep them loaded with rhetoric and coded words that keep them from thinking or wondering aloud about anything they hear. You gotta hand it to them.....they are good little soldiers.

So those of us who want to keep Obama in office for another term have our work cut out for us. And his campaign does, too. I was more than just a little bit happy when Obama himself came out within hours of the SCOTUS ruling on Affordable Health Care Act. He said exactly what needed to be said, was short and to the point. I cheered when I heard him and wondered aloud why they had not had him do this before, multiple times, if necessary. And amazingly enough, the numbers have gone up for those who approve or favor the so-called Obama-Care. So sometimes it does help to get the message out, clean and to the point.

Finally, they need to hit back at Romney and the garbage and lies he keeps saying whenever a camera is turned on him....and even when he is unaware that he is on camera. Whatever it takes and wherever the message needs to go out, they need to refute every single lie until the DUMB BELLS hell bent on voting for him will at least know for sure what they are endorsing when they pull the lever for him. And maybe, just maybe, a few of the Sheeple will start to wonder what's up with him and change their minds or at least NOT vote at all since he is such a dud of a candidate.

How many great teachers, how many great doctors, how many great senators, how many great writers, how many great scientists -- would we have lost to this test.

Think of the "greatest generation." Many of them received free college educations from the government. Remember how their knowledge and skills lifted the entire nation?

40. Your McConnell quote is not quite right.
Sun Jul 1, 2012, 08:25 PM
Jul 2012

Here is what he said:

Asked a third time how Republicans would insure those 30 million people, McConnell said: “That is not the issue. The question is how you can go step by step to improve the American health care system.”

WALLACE: You don’t think the 30 million people who are uninsured is an issue?

MCCONNELL: Let me tell you what we’re not going to do. We’re not going to turn the American health care system into a western European system.

And he repeated a debunked claim that ACA would cut $500 billion from Medicare.

This is debunked here: http://www.politifact.com/virginia/statements/2012/jun/20/american-crossroads/american-crossroads-says-tim-kaine-urged-500-billi/

41. Boehner weighs in....
Sun Jul 1, 2012, 08:45 PM
Jul 2012

Norah O’Donnell Hammers John Boehner: ‘When You Repeal [Obamacare], What Are You Going To Replace It With?’

<snip> Boehner said that the notion of government being able to mandate that Americans have to buy a product is “shocking,” but conceded that he respects the decision of the Supreme Court. On a more optimistic note, he says that at least the ruling has given new life to Republican efforts to get the law repealed once and for all. O’Donnell said that so far, Congress has voted 30 times to repeal Obamacare (a figure Boehner himself cites on his website). She asked him, “What’s one more vote going to do? What’s the point?”

Boehner explained he wants to be able to show the American people the Republican party is fully committed to repealing the law. And while it may have been ruled constitutional, Boehner pointed out, the Supreme Court decision never said if it was a good law or not. O’Donnell asked if there was anything good about the law. Boehner admitted there are good parts of it, which O’Donnell honed in on to ask the Speaker specifically what he would keep and what he would cut.
