We all like to think we are relatively self-determining, rational actors. The data says otherwise. Many US citizens had their brains hacked by the Russians during the election.

I do not "like" anything online - I think it is juvenile.

excellent article - I hope it makes people understand how stupid it is to have a big online presence

sophisticated stuff going on here with visual imagery in ads etc that just skips right over our cognitive evaluative processes.

We are hardwired to process images differently; much of the USA does not try to actively reject these influences ...

Yes, it brings up a critical personal question now -- what are you willing to forgo to regain your privacy?
