WTH? - Spicer and Trump are claiming that Elizabeth Farkas "proves" surveillance claims

Can someone explain to me (as I find the Trump "logic" impossible to follow) why Hannity, Trump, and Spicer think that attacking Elizabeth Farkas and advocating the Trump meme is an effective counter to the Russia scandal: "see the REAL STORY is that Obama did bad things to Trump and that Hillary sold uranium!!! Hillary is the real Russian agent!!! Elizabeth Farkas revealed all of this secret info!!!"

Now they are wildly going after Elizabeth Farkas, who left the Obama administration in 2015, for an interview she gave on MSNBC back at the beginning of March (why didn't they point it out then if it was so incendiary??), in which she stated that she urged her former co-workers to make sure to save any info regarding Trump and co, etc. Hannity of course was going bonkers about this last night -- arguing that Farkas's comments "PROVE" the Trump surveillance claims (and presumably somehow let Trump off the hook for Russia?!). Of course Spicer was repeating the claims today.
