If they had not ignored or turned the other way when people were asking for Trumps tax returns and his refusal to rid himself of his conflicting business interests, If they had demanded these simple requirements, we might not be in this mess today.

Trump, with all his foreign businesses, was not your usual candidate. It was a great political error to leave such a minefield unexplored. Now we are all paying the price for their incompetence.
