His last 3 operas, last 2 symphonies, and Requium are in the top 10 all-time compositions. Anyone, who thinks that Don Giovanni and Figaro are unmanly is an uncultured idiot. Some say that Marriage of Figaro was responsible for the French revolution. Not too shabby eh?

I saw a Giovanni production in SF with the Great Samuel Ramey. And a Figaro production in SF with the Great Bryn Terfel. I prefer Figaro just a small bit over Don Giovanni. The irony and humor in both is wonderful. My favorite joke in Giovanni is when Don Ottavio asks Donna Anna why she let a guy climb through her bedroom window? To which she replied, "Well at first, I thought it was you ..."

he was definitely a womanizer and there are historical antedotes of his exploits while performing in Frankfurt. It has been estimated that Mozart had one of the world's 5 highest IQ's. I always amazes me how ignorant conservatives are.
