Yes - there are some that were 'no' votes all through the process. The Freedom Caucus & some moderate Repugs.
But beware - some Repug Congresspeople are now taking cover behind the pulling of the bill. Seeing that the bill was pulled anyway - there is no consequence if they tell their constituents that - should there have been a vote - they would have voted 'No'. They are now saying that they listened at the Town Halls and to the people of their district and should there have been a vote - they would've voted 'No'.
Don't be fooled. They most likely would have voted Party line 'yes' for the bill should there have been a vote. But now that it crashed - the only thing that they are concerned about is their next election and their jobs. So these cowards are putting out messages that they would've voted 'No'.
Don't give them the benefit of the doubt. They are not your friend. Don't go into the voting booth in 2018 and vote for them because they said they would've voted 'No'. They are still Repugs. They will turn on you if given the chance. Don't be conned. Don't be a sucker. Vote them out of office and vote in a Dem that you can trust in 2018.

(7,820 posts)That many of the objections on the Repub side were wanting the repeal without the replace- or something even more draconian than what was already on the table.
But you're right that not having had to cast a vote means they're not officially on the record on that.

(25,257 posts)no one is on record for having voted for or against. The point I'm making is when these turds get back in there district they will tell there constituents that if there was a vote - they would've voted no or against it - just to make themselves look good. Saying that in hopes that they don't get voted out of office come 2018. There is no way to check how they voted on this bill cause there was no vote. There is no record. Just be careful that they are not conning you.

(13,562 posts)The reason if failed is because it wasn't awful enough for the TPers. And the moderates were nervous. And then there is the threat by the Koch jerks who wanted the TP crap.
The repukes have danced with the devil and now they are paying the price.
