anyone say he affected the election by publically announcing he had re-opened the HRC email investigation . . . but elected to tell the voting public nothing about an ongoing investigation into collusion between the dRump campaign and Russia. By not saying anything he certainly withheld information that undoubtly would have affected the voting public at the polls. He basically helped Putin achieve his goal in defeating HRC. I don't trust the guy. I think in the end he will say there is smoke but no fire - that he can find an actionable cause to prosecute.

FBI agents in the NY Office that were leaking to Trump's camp. That Comey had to get out in front of them.

Plus Fareed Zacharia said around election time that Comey stupidly promised congress in July that if there was anything new on Hillary's emails he would let them know. So 1) he had promised 2) there would have definitely been a leak of it if he said nothing. So he was doubly boxed in to a situation where he had to tell. I don't know where his heart was but those two things I trust are true. I think he will get to the truth.

"it doesn't matter that there was nothing there, the damage is done" (paraphrasing her comments here)

His actions at the recent hearing seem to support Mensch's timeline of events...

8. Yeah, has he never heard of Christian terrorist groups that call themselves "armies?"

"Army of God" is just one of them and they try to get nutcases to shoot up abortion clinics and murder doctors. Mostly, they just priss around on weekends and talk big, but it wouldn't take much to turn them a lot uglier.

Bill, you need to talk to a few women out there in real life land, the ones who don't have hairdressers on call and enough money to insulate themselves from Planned Parenthood haters. You'd find that there are miltant Christiuan terrorist groups. You just don't tend to know about them because you're anatomically exempt from attracting their attention.

So yeah, he needs to give the Muslim hate a rest. Most Muslims I've known over the years are nice people and other than an aversion to pork, not that different from garden variety Methodists or Presbyterians.

He acts like he's more disturbed and frightened by Muslims than he is by Trump.
