entitlements. There will not be enough room on the planet once people can live to be over 100 en masses. We should have a public discussion now. Am I wrong?

(115,775 posts)The GOP does not believe that government has a role in managing any aspect of health care delivery because they don't believe in expending funds for any kind of social welfare and they don't believe in progressive taxation. The Trumpcare bill was just a Trojan horse for a tax cut for the wealthy.

(1,154 posts)Yes, it's been obvious for a while that the republicans are looking to reduce the population (of everyone not them). Healthcare for all does not fit their game plan. At all.

(20,585 posts)for the masses. Our planet is bathed in chemicals that are affecting the health of the population. The power of corporations will assure that remains the status quo.
These chemicals are contributing to cancer rates, increase in children's cancers, neurological damage to children (learning disabilities, behavior problems, etc) These chemicals are also contributing to gender confusion. The worst damage occurs in the third generation from the person exposed, not the second so we are about to see what that means.
The very wealthy may reverse aging but people living in polluted environments will continue to suffer consequences.

(14,858 posts)They're much more in the here and now. Here and now, most Republican voters don't want to pay any taxes. No matter how little they pay, they resent it and they raise hell about it to their reps. If they must pay taxes, they don't want a cent of that money to go to anyone they consider to be "undeserving" which is just about everyone except them. I also think most of them vastly overestimate how much they pay in taxes, and they also vastly overestimate how much assistance poor people receive.

Still, the planet has too many people.
