http://indianapublicmedia.org/news/indiana-restaurant-owner-deported-friday-116463/The family of a northern Indiana restaurant owner who ICE detained during a routine check-in in February says hes scheduled for deportation Friday.
Roberto Beristain is the owner of a popular restaurant in Granger called Eddies Steak Shed. His family says he came to the United States from Mexico City illegally in 1998. He later obtained documentation to work in the country and checked in with ICE each year.
During an interview earlier this month, Helen said she voted for President Donald Trump because she supports his immigration policies. She said criminals should be deported, but she didnt think her husband would face that fate.
Trump did say the good people would not be deported, the good people would be checked, Helen said.
Robertos family says hes already been moved from the detention center they visited him at in Kenosha, Wisc. An ICE spokesperson says in a statement the agency cannot release information about upcoming removals for security reasons.

(92,394 posts)2. Then again maybe she was tired of her husband and saw this as an opportunity

under those circumstances. Sorry, I can't muster any sympathy for Helen.

I do feel for her husband, even though chances are good that he shares her politics. Well, Mexico's a great place in many ways. Wonder if she'll follow him. Ironically, as a Mexican citizen, he'll once again be able to benefit from national health insurance.

Not everyone else mind you, just her and the fucking idiots like her.
I might extend some sympathies to Mr. Beristain but then again, I've seen interviews of a few deported Mexican nationals that still say they think Trump is an a-okay guy, so who knows.
