(108,994 posts)11. Have you ever heard of the DNC hiring "ex" KGB officers working for a firm
with extensive connections in Russia?

(108,994 posts)15. They scour each other's FEC reports. If the Dems had ever paid this company or one
with similar connections, the R's would have found out and would have made an issue of it.
The person doing the work was a "former" KGB agent and the company was known for its extensive Russian connections.

pnwmom
(108,994 posts)9. Let's see. The work was done by an "ex" KGB agent named Gennady Vasilenko,
and the firm is known for doing work in Russia.
Does that sound like every political campaign you've known?

to do oppo research.

(31,170 posts)7. While gathering oppo info is common, I doubt it usually has such close Russian ties when Dems do it.
Seems like some aren't reading the article...or aren't bothered by yet another Russian connection to the RNC.

(15,320 posts)8. To those responding with don't we do the same thing?
Let me get this out of the way...
Ok.
Do we use Russian spies? Come on, now.
Wounded Bear
(58,708 posts)17. OK, so Dems don't hire Russian spies...
but it was research like this that turned up the 35 page dossier on Trump as oppo research.
