Possible silver lining?

Granted, a chiffon thin silver lining in an enormous, damaging cloud, but interesting.

Time magazine has a cover titled "Is Truth Dead?" (or something like that) in an issue containing an interview with Trump. CNN was referencing it in an intelligent interview about how lies are being received by different parts of the population.

I've had a recurring thought about how sorry I am for public school teachers, trying to inculcate a respect for the truth in their students. But maybe the current milieu is raising the question of "truth" to a level of consciousness and interest that hasn't been present before, at least not in my lifetime. Maybe most people will come out of this with a heightened awareness for a need for critical thinking.

Is this a possibility???

But it will be a steep climb. Most people aren't able to apply critical thinking. Not sure how the shift could occur in our media and social media environment.
