Other than strong-arming him to step down voluntarily.

I bet Ryan is furious that as Speaker, he may become embroiled in this, despite his sucking up to Trump to get help to pass his dreadful Health bill. And now that looks like it is in Congressional Hospice.

Hope this helps rid us of Ryan.

Perhaps they will find a way to blame the Democrats for the investigation being derailed, and turn it over to an independent commission, figuring that gives them more time to dodge and work to rig the membership of that commission.
