HA HA HA: Trump's "Come to Jesus" meeting lost 10 votes!

http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/first-read/trump-s-hard-sell-health-care-hasn-t-worked-least-n736891

Yesterday morning, we wrote that 17 House Republicans opposed or leaned strongly against the GOP health-care plan that's scheduled for a vote Thursday. Then President Trump visited Capitol Hill and appeared to threaten GOP lawmakers, saying that they could lose re-election in the 2018 midterms if they vote against the GOP health-care bill, NBC's Leigh Ann Caldwell writes. After that visit, the number of Republicans opposing or leaning strongly against the legislation grew to 27, per NBC News' count — when Trump and GOP leaders can't afford more than 21 defections.

The art of the deal, indeed.

Russian collusion didn't bother his voters all that much before, though, and a large number seem to be righteously angry about the evil Democratic plot to destroy him with lies.

I'm guessing most of it's new worry over social programs, scary rumors starting to seep into their bubbles. Where's the "caring"? Especially, a large number of them really thought/hoped he was going to get rid of the ACA's mandate to pay, make premiums cheaper, and make coverages even "better." And, of course, change its name.

Then there's that Russian analyst's belief that making supporters of an authoritarian leader believe they've backed a "loser" is the gut hit resistance should be going for. Of course, he's doing that to himself, so maybe that's what's really getting through.

If Donald Trump actually EVER made something the "best" it would simply mean we have changed the meaning of the word "best" to be a synonym of "worst" instead of an antonym. (Not that the orange shit-gibbon knows what that actually means...)

Except, sadly, some diehard Trumpistas have said they would not give up their support even if every part of his agenda failed, it was proven that he did nothing but lie since beginning his campaign, and even if it was proved that he has been a Russian agent all along.

One of my "favorite" quotes coming from his latest Love Me! moment was "As long as it [Trumpcare] has 'Trump' in the name, you'll forget how bad it is."

How can you overcome such idiocy?

He tried a power move that might have worked a month ago, but flopped now.

That's the risk Trump has run throughout a career based entirely on bluffing...but as president he's receiving constant scrutiny that is only going to undermine his preferred image. His capital has always had an expiration date which seems to be nearing.

1) This is literally the worst public policy legislation that has hit capitol hill in our lives.
2) That isn't the issue, the republican party is that hateful and deranged they could give a fuck what it looks like now.
3) The problem they are having with this bill is that it is not horrible enough!
4) There are some, mostly in the senate, who are opposing it, not for the best interests of their constituents. BUT, because it is so horrible and they don't have safe, gerrymandered districts to protect them and the know they will be punished if they vote for it.
5) The majority who are opposing it know this and don't really care. They are THAT fucking sick that they want it to be worse. SO, they.
6) Their opposition is a win/win. They appease the deranged, hateful people in their party who want it to be bad, and get to say that is why they didn't vote for it. BUT, also, in not voting for it will not face the pushback from those who know how bad it is and and oppose it.

These assholes see that. So, there is nothing 45, Reagen or anyone could do. They get to not vote for it, be cast as true patriots by their 1/3 zombies and don't face the blowback from the people who would get hurt by it.

I just say this so that people understand that while, hopefully, this is crashing and burning, they WILL, very quickly, pull together their tithe to their masters (the tax bill) and pass it very easily.

I would never recommend a former military officer (col and gen) or a business owner to be a pastor. There are a whole different set of skills and variables in the both the church and politics. One must be able to take no for an answer, one must be able to work with people instead of just barking orders and expecting folks to jump

Obviously, they need more of Trump talking to them. The house republicans know that aligning themselves with Trump betters their chance of being unemployed when the 2018 elections happen. I hope with all of my heart that the Democrats will take the house in 2018.

explicit that they are against it. Consider that two of them are men that Trump attacked as opponents (Paul and Cruz) and that the bill is genuinely not what they would have done. I don't think any of the possible Republican nos could be hurt by Trump. In addition, I would not be surprised if in the back of their heads, they are already thinking "Primary Him" - as they see him failing.
