better choice than anyone else trump might come up with. Remember trump picked him when he still had some semblance of a heart and still cared what people
thought. I think anyone trump chooses now would be far worse. He will be the lesser of two evils. I have to stick with him.

It is not a matter of good or bad...the GOP stole that seat and if we ever want to get our judges through again...we need to stand firm and make them bleed...no mercy for those that support Gorsuch...and I generally give those in red states a break...this is different...they cheated.

The GOP will do it again and again if they get away with it. They never allow Democrats to govern...play dirty . Thus we must stand up to them period. We make it so difficult, they never do it again. Any Dem that colludes with Gorsuch who is not so great...and appears to be a corporatist to me and maybe a racist... he definitely would vote to end a woman's choice...but that doesn't matter I don't care if he is Jesus and walks on water....no surrender...make the GOP pay a terrible price to put him on the bench. He may get on anyway but at least we took a stand and fought for what was right...the GOP can not be allowed to steal SCOTUS seats with impunity...and they also held up other lower court judges as well. They are cheaters and liars...we can't support that. Resistance is the only thing we have...we many not always win, but we will persist and beat these bastards. They refused to allow our president to govern. Payback is a bitch GOP scumbags.

Forget about identity politics and culture war issues.

Gorsuch is going to back billionaires to the hilt, at the expense of the American middle class. He is a terrible choice. Economic issues are the most important issues facing us in the long run.

qualified. But no way they get a pick easily when they stole the seat. They need to hold firm...60 votes...he will probably get in anyway but make them pay...and every Dem says it is a stolen seat. It's possible if they use the nuclear option we can get rid of him later too.

Republicans used to insist that no SC nominee could be considered while the presidential campaign was in progress, we have to wait until the will of the people becomes known.

In 2020.

The 2020 campaign is underway with Trump already heading for campaign rallies...we need to allow the American people to decide. Thus, the earliest we could confirm a justice is 2021. They will most likely get Gorsuch through...but we need to make him vulnerable to removal by forcing the nuclear option.

...I think I'll add the Republican's 1992 rule as well: If a candidate wins the electoral college but does not get a majority in the popular vote, they are only "technically president", have no mandate, nothing they do should be considered to have the imprimatur of "the will of the people" and opponents have every right, nay, a duty, to harry the pretender at all turns until a legitimate government can be elected.
