Addressing over 2,000 people, Sessions was frequently drowned out by boos and angry outbursts from the audience. Many of his answers were not entirely audible due to the crowd’s reaction as he began to speak.

“We are going to make the changes, we are going to pass the bill and we are going to repeal Obamacare,” Sessions said at one point, a declaration that gave way to sustained chants of “Vote him out!”

Re: town halls- remember Trump lost the popular vote by a huge amount. There was lots of anti-Trump sentiment before the election. In my experience talking to voters, until the election many voters didn't realize all the dirty tricks (gerrymandering, voter suppression, huge local money from the wealthy and corporations) the right could use to steal an election. Now many voters know how elections in America can be stolen and how right wing propaganda works. And those voters are pissed. Hence the townhalls.

Texas Democrats should set up outside these town halls, and make sure that people are registered to vote, and have a handy-dandy fact sheet that explains how the Democratic platform differs from Republican programs.

Then run credible candidates against these fuckers.

8. Start with recent events

Republicans want to cut Medicare, Meals on Wheels, clean water protections, clean air protections, and a host of other valuable, popular programs so they can empty the Treasury into the overstuffed pockets of their wealthy backers. Democrats are in favor of drinkable water, breathable air, and feeding and caring for our most vulnerable citizens.

Visitor Active duty, Navy, I give him a discount, mention I'm the mom of a Veteran, he asked what branch..
& insults my Son for HIS Service. Wth.
Then trumper-boss & visitor get into convo about how much better it's gonna be now, cuz military gets what they deserve when Republikers in office, better pay, etc!!!

I SO wanted to remind these 2 that Congress has the power of the purse, we had a republiker Congress 7+ years..! Not to mention, the immoral wars repubikers get us into..
