Granted, I'm pissed as hell at the people I know who voted for 45*, but those that at least put forth the thought process to understand that they made a mistake have the potential to develop insight and empathy and actually think of others (i.e. Medicaid expansion for starters, ultimately single payer).

I was a 'r' until A few years ago. Not real political but still a 'r'. Liked Obama and when I heard his eulogy at the church in Charlestown in 2015 the scales fell from my eyes and I had a road to Demascus moment.

And like Paul I now have the veal of a convert. Perhaps the need to make up for 30 years of being on the wrong side.

Always remember that most people do not think as much about politics as we do here. They just go by old habits. There are plenty of other republicans ripe for the picking. I am working on a few of them now.

I get disgusted too but we gotta remember, people in general aren't as political as we are and I feel that much of what GOPers do is from peer pressure.

People make mistakes, I know I did for awhile. We need all the people we can get to defeat this brainwashing of half the populous. The alternative is another 4 years of Pence come the next Presidential.

Was it Fox-Noise brainwashing? Was it just not paying attention to the divisive violence at Frump's campaign events? Was it realizing the false blame-the-other rhetoric had no factual basis? Was it peer pressure from the RWNJ's at work? Was it inability to recognize that the Donald was and is not a stable mentality? Did your half-witted, senile grandpa in the nursing home convince you to vote for chaos? I mean, WTF was it drew this fool to support a misogynistic, racist, flip-flopping, self-aggrandized, bombastic, ineloquent, megalomaniac, repulsive, ignorant, unprecedentedly unqualified, mean, egotistical, phony, imbecilic retarded buffoon of a bully as a good leader of the free world?
