Coming out of the coverage of Dutch election gains by GreenLeft Party

Words I find comforting and hopefully contagious...

"I hope they can make sure we keep investing in foreign aid

I hope they make sure the next government invests more into renewable energy, that we keep investing in foreign aid, which is much more effective in dealing with the refugee problem than closing the borders."

a couple more big elections on the horizon that have more significance. Perhaps we can beat back the tide of fascism.

If the election and actions of Trump is what keeps Europe from going over the precipice of nationalism.

Would be at least some consultation. We will right ourselves. Not so sure that once over that ledge Europe ever could.
