(9,313 posts)... although under the procedures you can attach an explanatory statement for missed or mistaken votes. But doesn't change anything.
I think if somebody fouled up on a very close vote it would be noticed by somebody -- perhaps the whip -- before voting closed. Could you imagine being responsible for something passing/not passing because of a mistake?

(32,064 posts)I liked her and thought she represented the 9th well. The 9th is very closely Democratic/Republican. Left activists in the district hated her though. They did not like some of her votes on various issues. But they never had anyone to run against her.
