If the right wants to lay blame for AHA being upheld, they should look at Scalia, not Roberts.

I don't attribute such noble intentions to Chief Justice Roberts; that he's just calling balls and strikes, that many on our side of the fence, or just straddling it have so graciously offered.

Roberts, I believe was thinking more about his legacy, and I'd like to imagine, the legacy of the SCOTUS. But the shear venom spewed by Scalia in the past few weeks made it impossible for this court to scrap ObamaCare without being roundly seen as a tool of the right, and no longer an impartial actor.

We can summize, by the extended time it took to release the verdict, the nature of the verdict breakdown, and that precious look on Scalia's face when the verdict was read, that Roberts made the decision to change his position, and find himself an out that preserves the illusion of a semi-impartial body, if not a thoroughly polarized balancing act, at the last minute.

If the ASA fell, It could jeopardize other initiatives in the works such as nullifying the Voter Rights Act, or the deepening of Citizens United, or overturning Roe v. Wade.

So, I thank Justice Roberts for his decision, whether he wanted to see it our way or not, but if the right wants someone to blame, they should look in the mirror, and say SCALIA, SCALIA, SCALIA!!!!

and the vehemence and personally venomous nature of some of his recent opinions are distinctly injudicious in nature. I still think Roberts is a right-wing tool, but he desperately wishes not to be recognized as one.
