Note: The survey talks about public schools, but it you scan down in the article you'll find a number of charts talking about many things.

And at the bottom is congress, only a 13% great deal of confidence in congress.

1. It's so sad that people trust banks more than they trust unions. As for television, I'm sure Fox

News watchers hav trmendous confidence in Fox News.

3. Yep, quite true and quite sad. Around here I often hear Fox News quoted as the

absolute authority and the pinnacle of absolute truth. It's frightening how some cling to the worst citing it as an authority.

2. Over half of those rate under 10% in my book.

Congress, big business, TV news, criminal justice system, the police, the church or organized religion, banks, HMOs, newspapers all rate a no confidence at all. None really rate a highly favorable except unions.

4. Same here, I think all of those you mentioned have done a grave disservice to this country. I

couldn't give any of them above a 10%.
