What kind of security clearance process MISSED that Flynn was a foreign agent? (Original Post) Equinox Moon Mar 2017 OP
Yes, there's got to be some perjury in there somewhere, at the very least. Warpy Mar 2017 #1

but eventually Dolt45 will be isolated from all his easy ties to Putin and/or the Russian mob.

We might even see Pence eventually removed. It looks like Kasich is being put back into the news and into position.

It's just going to take a long time.

Back in the 1980's I applied for top secret clearance. I had to provide my whole life history, names of all my relatives & friends, all my travels, and the authorities interviewed neighbors at random.

Flynn must have lied on his application.

If he already had a Security Clearance, and was not due for a re-up, they would not have caught it till they went to do his new investigation...I think almost all my neighbors worked for the Feds in some capacity or other, as I would get Investigators calling me up and dropping by all the time to provide information on them.

Earlier this week, Sean Spicer said the Trump administration just took Flynn's word for it. They didn't bother to check out the paper work he submitted, just that he'd filled out the requisite forms. That might work for subcontracting something on one of Trump's garish hotels (he's just going to stiff them later anyway), but it's hardly the way to run the national security apparatus.

To lead the National Security for the world's only superpower, this would require an extensive security check process. I would think even if he had a current security clearance. And, I would assume the rules are such, that if a person holding a security clearance had any changes they would be required to report it.

Flynn is in trouble, and I wonder how many others as well?

From piece done by Rachel Maddow.

“That cannot be true,” Maddow said bluntly. “It is impossible this is the first Mike Pence has heard of it. Mike Pence was the head of the [Trump] transition, while all of those news stories of Mike Flynn being on the Turkish government’s payroll were breaking. He was the head of the transition when Mike Flynn was being vetted for the National Security Advisor job. He was the head of the transition when Congress formally notified the head of the transition that Mike Flynn appears to be on a foreign government’s payroll. He was the head of the transition when Mike Flynn’s personal lawyers came and told the transition that Mike Flynn maybe needed to register as a foreign agent.
